The two pieces below are the result of some of my research experimentation on music and psychoacoustics. (2018)

 Sweet Child

A 2-measure melodic pattern is repeated over and over. The only parameter being changed is tempo, which goes from quarter note = 230,000 to quarter note = 68. As tempo decreases our perception will group the tones within the pattern differently. There's competition between our brain's tendency to group by proximity in pitch and its tendency to group by proximity in time.

3 Tones (Headphones required)

Three tones B-C-C# are repeated over and over without change. Notes are individually and progressively moved to the left or right. Even though the melodic pattern never changes, our brain will group by the tones' position in space, creating different groupings.
